I was born Sept. 10, 1972 in Knoxville, Tennessee where my Father was finishing up college. We soon moved to Ohio where my dad got his first professional job, then after several more years, moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin where my Dad got a Human Resource job with Miller Brewing Company.
Have you fallen asleep yet, I nearly have! MOOOving right along... I graduated high school in June of '90. I was 17 years old, and chose to go to college the following Fall at the University of WI- Whitewater. I went there for a year and transferred up to UW- Stevens Point, where I had even more fun! Decided my Junior year to go major in Accounting, then switched to Elementary Education, then ended up wanting to get into Advertising.
I graduated with high honors, then focused on looking for a job as a copywriter. No such luck... I had no valuable experience they said, so I widened my search and landed a terrific job with Frontier Technologies. I worked dilligently for them for a year and a half, then decided it was time to move closer to my then-boyfriend, Nick (who lived in Dallas, TX). After moving to Dallas in May 1996, I found a job with CompuCom, designing their Intranet. I had a great time with CompuCom up until March of 2000, when I decided it was time for a new challenge. So I took a position as (go figure) webmaster at e2 Communications and was there about a year and a half before I got hit by our 4th round of layoffs on 8/31/01. I then ran my own Web Consulting company called Planet-K Consulting full-time and developed several websites and did some onsite contract work for Alliance Systems. After realizing I prefer earning steady money and work full-time for someone else, I took a great job as a Sr. ColdFusion Developer with National Health Administrators in North Dallas. This is where I still work.
My favorite animals are polar bears and moray eels. My favorite hobby is working out, my favorite junk foods are Cinnabons and Cookie Bouquet cookies. I want my next car to be a Daewoo Bucrane, well OK, seriously, I want it to be a Jaguar XKR. I think that Antonio Bandaras and Brad Pitt and Val Kilmer are pretty darn good-looking, although my main hollywood squeeze right now is Mark Wahlberg (drool). How can one man be SO GORGEOUS?
Actually, he only holds a candle to my sweet and most handsome fiance, David. We met back in August of 2001, got engaged in September 2002 and are getting married on October 5, 2003. He is amazing and there's no doubt we are kindred souls. I love him like no other and I have no doubt I always will. In addition, I'm crazy about his family and my family is crazy about him.
David and I are also building a house together. We bought some land back in Feb of 2002 and spent the next year working on architecture plans (we designed the house ourselves) and getting financing and the like. We finally began actual construction on Feb. 11, 2003. We were really wanting the house to be finished by our wedding date, although that most likely will not happen since getting started took longer than we anticipated. But either way, we are excited about this process and can't wait until our new home is finished! Being smooshed together in my small 2 BR house is not our idea of fun. ;-)
I've traveled to Germany, Italy, Jamaica, St. Lucia, the Bahamas, and Norway. My favorite scent is pine. I love newts and have 2 as pets. One of my worst habits is biting my nails. I am addicted to Blistex. My best feature is my 20/20 vision, and... my favorite TV Show right now is Sex And The City.
