Well, I moved to Dallas (yellow square above) in the beginning of May, 1996. I used to live in Milwaukee, WI. I liked it there, but it was kinda cold all the time. Now I live in Dallas, TX, I'm soaking up the sun and warm weather, and I'm very happy. JOY!
I've lived in several areas of the DFW metroxplex. When I first moved down I lived in Carrollton, then I moved to East Dallas, then in Nov of '97 I moved to a northern suburb of Dallas named Plano. Plano is a great city, much quieter and ritzier than I was used to. The apartment I had there was really cool. But I decided throwing money away on rent wasn't a smart financial thing to do. Hence, I looked into buying a house.
And buy a house, I did! I found the PERFECT one in North Dallas, very near the border of Carrollton; in Collin County. For more info on my house, click here.
Dallas is so great. Not only is the weather SPECTACULAR and filled with sun shiny days, but the cost of living is good and the job market is booming. Dallas is filled with friendly people, great restaurants, fantastic night life, beautiful parks, a great baseball and hockey team, and huge houses with no yards. ;-)
If you're looking to move south, I highly recommend Dallas! Come check it out!
