Meet my treasure... my wonderful fiance, David.
It was by sheer chance we met. Jennifer and I were out dancing at a local dance club (Times Square) one night in early August ('01) when a girl (Anita) walked up to me and asked me if I was with anyone. I said no and she told me she had a friend she wanted me to meet. I was skeptical, but followed her to the other side of the dance floor. It was then she introduced me to David. We had a great time dancing and exchanged numbers. We played phone tag for a couple of weeks and finally the week before Labor Day we managed to meet to have dinner at Uncle Julio's (YUM!). We instantly hit it off and had a great time. The Sunday before Labor Day he invited me to his friend's party and we had a blast. It was from right there I knew he was what I was looking for. And I wasn't even looking! But they say that's when the best things happen... when you're not even paying attention. And can you believe it I didn't even meet him ONLINE! LOL! My first boyfriend since before Nick that I haven't met online! [giggle]
He managed to fanagle a ticket to go to Vegas with me and my friends just a couple weeks after our first date and we had a blast! It was towards the end of the trip that we decided we definitely wanted to give things a go since we undoubtedly felt a real and true connection.
Approximately a year later, on Sept. 8 2002, while we were on vacation in the Bahamas, David romantically proposed, and I of course said YES! We are getting married on October 5th, 2003 here in South Lake, TX at Paradise Cove.
David is 37, 6' tall, loves to waterski (slolem) and has a boat he enjoys taking his friends out on. He is very social and has incredible friends. He owns his own gutter company, which handles the gutter business for all the Home Depots in the DFW area. Since he is so handy in construction and has so many friends in the building industry, he is instrumental to us building our house for such a reasonable price. He is actually a really good cook, especially when it comes to running the grill. He has two sisters (both younger), one that lives in Dallas and the other in Midland, TX. His Dad lives in Lewisville, has a great sense of humor, and rides a Harley. His Mom lives in Denton and has written several published Romance Novels (cool!). David is a caring, positive, happy, bright, sexy, shiney soul and I thank Anita to no end for introducing us to each other.
