This is my friend, Wes.
He is the CEO and Founder of Sorcity.com, which is a reverse-auction site for large procurement orders. Need 20,000 light bulbs for all your plants around the nation? Go to Sorcity.com and submit a request for quote (RFQ) stating a "secret" (sincerity) price saying as much you're willing to pay, then set a initial bidding price and watch the suppliers flock to bid each other down for your business. Pretty cool, eh? Not only is this good for buyers, but it's good for sellers because they can sell more product to more people via free, qualified leads. And this is how those sellers can make lifetime customers.
Well, enough about that. Wes is quite captivating. He sees things in a way many people don't. I've definitely already learned some things from him, and hope I will continue to. I also hope to reciprocate the benefit. ;-)
Wes likes to workout, play raquetball, watch Star Trek and Touched By An Angel, cook and bake (oh my he makes the most amazing banana cake I've ever tasted... with white raisins!), sculpt, landscape his yard, clean his carpets (well... clean everything actually), eat pastries, dance, skydive, ride rollercoasters, scuba dive, go to closeout auctions, play water volleyball, seize the day, work too hard, deprive himself of sleep, take vitamins, and much more. He is organized, and when it doesn't come to business, is surprisingly laid back.
Wes is engaged to Heather. They make a great couple and I hope they continue to be happy together.
