Occassion Photos- Home Comedy Sportz
What on Earth are these people DOING, you might ask. This photo was taken at my "going away" party that I threw myself the weekend before I left for Texas. My parties are infamous Comedy Sportz parties. If you don't know what Comedy Sportz is, it's a bunch of people that get together and form 2 teams and play competitive improvisational comedy games (here in Dallas, it is called Ad-Libs, but is the same thing). For example, in this particular game, each team lets one person from their group leave the room and the rest decide what sort of phrase they have to act out. It has to be a adjective, noun, verb, and adverb. For example: "exhilirating tubas oscilate readily"... As weird and as long of words as you can think of. Then you call your teammates back and Team 1 gets 60 sec. to act out (pantomime) any of the words they choose. Team 2 watches and does not help. When Team 1's 60 seconds are up, it's Team 2's turn. Since Team 2 is acting out the same phrase as Team 1, they can build on anything Team 1 has said or done. When their 60 seconds is up, the play switches again to Team 1 and so on until one of the people guessing says the entire phrase in the correct order. It's tougher than you think. What in the world Jon (left), Aaron (right), and Julie (front) are acting out here, I can't remember, but it sure was halarious! Comedy Sportz rules!
