Photos of my Things- Plot of Land in Highland Village

On Feb. 27, 2002, I closed on a plot of land in Highland Village that David and I are buying together! It's a beautiful sloped, highly treed lot right across the street from Lake Lewisville, and across the road from some good friends of ours! It will be very exciting to begin building on this lot hopefully just before Christmas '02. It's just over a quarter acre. David and I already have a rough idea of how we'd like our house to be layed out. We are working on some rough ideas in a peice of software called Punch Home Design, so when we get something to show you, I will post it here. Stay tuned! Until then, here are some shots of the land (taken in both spring and winter):

Map of the area. The red star signifies approximately our plot of land.

Here's a closer-up drawing of how our plot of land is situated in our neighborhood.

Our street sign to be!

This is the beautiful backyard of the house across the street from us
that sits right off the lake. Lucky dogs. :-)

This is another shot of our neighbor's back yard.

Here's Wes' and My car parked at the top of our lot.

Another shot of the lot.

David climbing down our lot (looking down the slope).

Another shot of our lot. Lots of gorgeous trees. Will be a shame to cut any of them down.

This is looking down the path of that dead end road that is at the bottom of our lot.
It goes right down to the Lake.

This is a shot of the dead end, where the land meets Lake.

This is looking from the dead end back to our lot. Our lot is further down on the left.

Looking from our lot down Hickory Ridge (looking South).

My friend, Pam, standing in front of the street sign.

This is the view of Lake Lewisville, as will be seen from
the main level of the house when it's built. Problem is,
this view is available only in winter. In Spring, when the trees
bloom, you can just forget about seeing anything but green.

This shot is across the street, looking at the NE corner of the lot.

Some of the pretty trees in the lot.

And some more trees.

Pam, waiting by my Jag, and some of our neighbors to the East of us.

Looking down Hickory Creek (looking South); our lot is on the right.
