Trip Photos- Las Vegas- October 2002

It was past due time for our annual trip to Vegas. Thankfully, it was a blessing
in disguise to visit in October, rather than September. The weather is much more
agreeable. We actually didn't feel like passing out from the unbearable summer heat.
October is the time to travel to Vegas from now on. This year it was just David,
myself, Mark and Lisa that ventured out. And a blast we had! Here's some photos...

Shot of the moutains from our hotel room on the 24th floor of Circus Circus.

The Strip on a beautiful, sunny day.

It was Lisa's first time in Vegas, she LOVED it!

Myself, celebrating the $100 I just made with one $5 bet on the
20 on the "Big 6/Wheel of Fortune" game. I LOVE that game!

David and myself at the Rainforest Cafe inside the MGM Grand.

Lisa! Watch out for that gator creeping up behind you!

Me in the Luxor. Check out my cool new shoes!

Lisa at the Luxor! Killer outfit, girl!

That night we went to check out Blue Man Group at the Luxor.

Lisa decorating herself with white crepe paper that
was passed out to everyone in the audience before the show.

David and myself getting psyched for Blue Man Group!

A shot of the incredible strobe dancers. You have to see them to believe them!
You won't believe your eyes! This was one of the many amazing vision treats during the show.

Blue Man Group was the most amazing show any of us had ever seen! We HIGHLY
RECOMMEND seeing it! Here's Mark and Lisa with a Blue Man after the show.

Myself, a Blue Man and Lisa. EEEEEEEEE! :-)

After Blue Man Group, we took a cab down to see the Bellagio Fountain display.

As always, it was awe-inspiring!

Then we headed over to a new night club called Seven. Great set-up!
Here's Mark and Lisa sitting on their patio that overlooks the Strip.

David and I sitting on the leopard patterned couches at Seven.

Another shot of us enjoying the atmosphere of Seven.

Lisa found her a comfy big beanbag!

She LOVES relaxing on the beanbag.

After a while, we went to check out the action at Curve in the Aladdin.

Curve was pretty hoppin' and had a great DJ.

Mark and Lisa having a lot of fun.

Me, chillin' out.

A funked up pic of the 4 of us at Curve.

Here's me the next morning in line for the Brunch Buffet. We had only gotten
maybe 3.5 hours of sleep, so standing for prolonged periods was a bit tough.

After a regenerating breakfast, we headed back out for site-seeing
on the Strip. David and I realized this firehydrant was the same
shade of red as our shirts. We are actually IN this picture, but
are totally camoflauged in with the fire hydrant. If you look
really closely, you might see us.

This is my fave pic of Mark and Lisa.
It was taken in the romantic Venetian hotel.

In the Venetian, there are statues that are actually people who can
hold incredibly still. When you give them money, they will move around
and do something silly to surprise you. Here's me givin some cash to one.

Lisa and Mark in front of the Treasure Island Hotel.

On our way into the Mirage, Lisa and I stopped to poke our heads in
Sigfried and Roy's lion's mouth.

Another shot, from further away, so you can see Sigfried and Roy.

One of the stunning white tigers in the Mirage hotel.

This is a huge aquarium that is behind the front lobby desk in the Mirage.
The white vertical blur you see is a really really cute eel!

After the day's sight seeing, eating, and gambling, we headed back to the
room for a long nap. Then at midnight, we woke up and dressed to head
back out to the clubs. Here we are before spending a wonderful, fun,
exciting night at Drai's and Glo Afterhours. We decided not to bring
the camera, unfortunately, so we have no pics of that 8 hours.

The next day we took a walk over to the
Stratosphere in order to ride the BIG SHOT.

of the Las Vegas Strip behind them.

Another shot of the view of the Strip.

Before catching our flight, we headed downtown for last minute sight-seeing.

It was my first time ever downtown, and I was very impressed!
We missed the fancy light show they have every evening, but
we are already looking forward to seeing it during next year's trip!
As always, Vegas was a BLAST. Thanks to Mark and Lisa for sharing
such a wonderful trip with us!
