Trip Photos- Maryland/Washington DC- November 2000

Stacey just moved to a beautiful town an hour north of DC called Frederick.
It is gorgeous. Just take a look at these stunning views!
I was so relieved to be able to catch the tail end of Fall in New England!

See Stacey and her cool Lexus amongst the beautful trees!

I liked the sound of the leaves crunch under my feet.
Admittedly, it's been a while since I've heard that sound.

We went up the hills/mountains to a beautiful lookout point and took these photos.

Gorgeous.

Stace and I posing for photos.

This was a cozy-looking Log Cabin house we came across as we drove around the hills.

We came across quite a bit of wildlife as well!
This goat was too cute to drive by without stopping to take a photo.

Stacey wanted to pet the goat! He seemed to like her.

Ahhh! What a cute cow!

Oh! They're all cute! Mooooooooooooooo!

We stopped to snap a photo of this little guy as he tried to cross the road.
He actually stopped in his tracks when we got out of the car. We had to PUSH
him off the road in order to save his little life! Go! Hop to FREEDOM, Frog!

We finally stopped for directions, so that we didn't end up too far
into West Virginia or something. Here we are heading to downtown
Frederick, which has a lot of history.

This is me and the Bridge Mural, which is a point of attraction
in downtown Frederick (the Bridge, not me- LOL!).

After having fun site seeing, shopping, and eating downtown,
we went back to Stacey's to get ready to go out dancing!

Here we are, ready for a night out on the town!

After quite a fun night, and some slight hangovers, Stace and I headed to DC
to see the sites. This is the Washington National Cathedral.

Weee! I'm actually seeing the White House! Pretty cool!

Must have proof I was near the White House!

Driving towards the Capitol.

Quite an amazing building!

Me and the Capitol.

Stacey had the great idea of us taking photos of each other HOLDING
the Washington Monument! Sweet!

Here is the Washington Monument and the Reflecting Pool. Cool shot, eh?

Washington Monument from the Capitol side.

This is the Lincoln Memorial, the building on the penny!

Here is the statue of Licoln inside the Memorial. Very awesome.

Lincoln and myself. He really IS larger than life!

See that tiny figure in blue jeans and a white sweatshirt? That's ME!!! HI!!!

This is the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial.

More shots.

This was a very very friendly, UNshy squirrel.

The beautiful Potomac River.

Arlington National Cemetary. Very haunting, yet beautiful.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.

Changing of the Guard in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.

Although this trip to Maryland and DC was short, I had such a blast.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
